It is a known fact that playing it safe gets you nowhere but average or mediocre.
Take it from me.
In my life, I’ve taken multiple substantial risks in terms of business, investments, relationships…
And have lost badly a few of those times.
However, there is the positive side to this as well. I learned a great deal from those losses and been able to apply them in going forward in my life.
So, I was thinking today about how most people aren’t willing to risk the “loss” despite desiring more for their lives – freedom, body, health, and income, whatever the desire is.
But instead of focusing on how they’re going to win, people focus on what they have to lose.
And so, they stay stuck. Complacent. Settling for average.
Just about all of the great things that have happened in my life have come from taking risks.
Of course there have been times where I’ve stayed unhappy because the discomfort of taking a
risk felt too great…and those always turn out to be unhappy times. But, that uncomfortable feeling is only temporary.
It’s the same principle when establishing a new lifestyle (regarding your health and fitness)
This is where having a coach plays a significant role. Someone you connect with, who is there to push and drive and coach, and mentor you every step of the way thru those difficult times (which are only temporary)
There is no real reward without substantial risk.
And there are no guarantees.
But would you rather play it safe your whole life, career, health/fitness?
or take risk in exchange for…
Something potentially extraordinary?
I always choose the latter.
