Consider how hard it is to change yourself and you’ll understand what little chance you have in trying to change others. This is my dilemma, as I take time in my personal life to create change in myself, I realize how difficult it is to change others.
So why do I face these odds of failure? They’re not in my favor, I am dealing with all types of people with a host of different backgrounds and they’re own personal issues & experiences; not to mention, working in the fitness industry?
One of the toughest lines of work with a very high failure rate. Yes, I want to be successful but why the fitness industry?
Good question – Begs an answer
For me, I had to really take a deep dive into myself and figure out what my strengths and my weaknesses. I had this pending question “why am I here”? “Why was I created”? I know, I am not here just for me; I was created for something (have you ever wondered). In doing this assessment of my origin, I realized what is was. “To help others in need” To contribute to making a person’s life better. In other words, “to give back”. So, how was I going to do this? Hence my strengths in being the coach I have become. Using my own personal gifts (I was born with) and what I have created within myself to give back and provide a service.
It has become my own personal journey of working through my failures (which is the process of success). And as I become more successful in this industry, I share what I have learned with others and see them succeed and crush their own personal goals as well.
It’s seeing the results where there was thought not to be any. Its trying things never done before, coming up with an idea that is so ludicrous, but you see a glimpse of success in the near future. I truly love the creativeness and ideas of what can or can’t be done. Is seeing the potential in someone who feels they have none. It’s a constant learning curve in this industry (you are always growing) because everyone has a method for their own success. And really, when it comes right down to it, its about empowering an aspect of change in someone.
So, how do we do this?
Just the littlest, tiniest, itty-bitty change, can have a very powerful influence on someone’s life. That is what I am pursuing, this is my approach. It’s a process in which a lifestyle is created, and this takes time and patience. It’s not about having it all now. Lifestyles are not created that way. This is what I stride to evolve into, to be that guy with an answer, a direction, guidance, empowerment to keep you on that journey. I know that I don’t have all the answers, but I do recognize that I have gained enough experience to find it. No one knows it all.
I think for the most part, my life has always been about helping others in need. I didn’t choose it; it chose me and has become a part of my final destiny in my life.
And that is just a short segment of my story (to be continued of course)
We all need help when we are on a search or a journey to be our best selves, just know that you are not alone. You have realized that you have this dream, this goal, this idea of becoming something different (you want to change). I too, have had my own ups & downs and I am constantly reminding myself that it’s the failures along the way which are a part of the process and is apart of my journey. Learning from them is the progression which will lead to be my best.
And you too can accomplish this vision for yourself.
